Progress & Absence

I have been in the process of working on another book, outside of the Nevermore series, as well as the Avarial series [I speculate that book one of which will be out within the next two months]. Currently, I am thirty thousand words into my new book and am happy with where it is headed.

Unfortunately, the past two months have not been the greatest. I have had a few tragedies occur among my family that postponed some of my writing, followed by some unbearable sinus infections that have prevented me from being able to do much beyond lay in bed all day feeling miserable. However!, I am now feeling much better, things are improving overall, and I'm back to writing at least 1,000 words daily.

I apologize for my absence, but I have always followed the philosophy that family and 'real life' comes before all else - including writing. The good news is that during this time of absence, I have been able to accumulate quite a few ideas for the book I'm focusing on now, future Nevermore-related stories, and books I've not even touched yet.

In other news...Today is my eighth and third year anniversary with my husband, Adam! We met back in 2005, and began our relationship on June 27th of that year. Five years later exactly, we got married in my parents [former] backyard. I cannot believe that three years have already passed since the day we wed, but I wouldn't trade this for anything. He's been here for me throughout the worst of times, and the best of times, and helped me on the path to becoming the author I am today. I would truly be lost without him!

Please bear with me as I get this book out of my head, through my fingertips, and into this laptop! I promise you will have more material to read soon! And for those of you looking forward to more of Alexis and Salem, I hope that you enjoy the temporary break from their lives and enjoy the life of Prince Divian in the upcoming The King's Hourglass. But at the same time, I promise this isn't the end of Alexis!
