Surprise!

I was half-tempted to post this yesterday, but it occurred to me that everyone would assume it was an April Fool's joke [in fact, I revealed it to my best friend and she thought I was teasing her for the 'holiday']. The story itself isn't in progress at all, but I have been toying with the idea of a short story revealing more of Salem's past and life prior to Alexis and came up with this during a bout of messing around in Photoshop yesterday evening.
